Exodus 20 <\/h2>\n

1 And God spoke all these words, saying:<\/strong><\/p>\n

2 <\/sup>\u201cI am<\/em> the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.<\/strong><\/p>\n

3 <\/sup>\u201cYou shall have no other gods before Me.<\/strong><\/p>\n

4 <\/sup>\u201cYou shall not make for yourself a carved image\u2014any likeness of anything<\/em> that is<\/em>in heaven above, or that is<\/em> in the earth beneath, or that is<\/em> in the water under the earth; 5 <\/sup>you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God,am<\/em> a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations<\/em> of those who hate Me, 6 <\/sup>but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.<\/strong><\/p>\n

7 <\/sup>\u201cYou shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him<\/em> guiltless who takes His name in vain.<\/strong><\/p>\n

8 <\/sup>\u201cRemember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 <\/sup>Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 <\/sup>but the seventh day is<\/em> the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it<\/em> you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is<\/em> within your gates.11 <\/sup>For in<\/em> six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is<\/em>in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.<\/strong><\/p>\n

12 <\/sup>\u201cHonor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.<\/strong><\/p>\n

13 <\/sup>\u201cYou shall not murder.<\/strong><\/p>\n

14 <\/sup>\u201cYou shall not commit adultery.<\/strong><\/p>\n

15 <\/sup>\u201cYou shall not steal.<\/strong><\/p>\n

16 <\/sup>\u201cYou shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.<\/strong><\/p>\n

17 <\/sup>\u201cYou shall not covet your neighbor\u2019s house; you shall not covet your neighbor\u2019s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is<\/em> your neighbor\u2019s.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
