“Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever;<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0wisdom and power\u00a0are his.<\/em><\/p>\n

He changes times and seasons;<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0he deposes\u00a0kings and raises up others.<\/em><\/p>\n

He gives wisdom\u00a0to the wise<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0and knowledge to the discerning.<\/em><\/p>\n

He reveals deep and hidden things;<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0he knows what lies in darkness,<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0and light\u00a0dwells with him.”<\/em><\/p>\n

Daniel 2<\/em><\/p>\n

Believe it or not there is a King in heaven in charge of everything. \u00a0He rules the kingdoms of this earth. \u00a0He raises up one leader and removes another. \u00a0HE is in charge, he rules the Universe…every molecule of it.<\/p>\n

HE is King.<\/p>\n

Then why are we afraid? \u00a0Why are we fighting over this politician or that one? \u00a0None of them can help us. \u00a0None of them can fix our problems. \u00a0They are just men placed there by God.<\/p>\n

Why are we so angry, so afraid? \u00a0Why all the frustration, the name calling?<\/p>\n

Is there a God in heaven or not?<\/p>\n

If there is a God who rules then trust him.<\/p>\n

If there isn’t then you aren’t fearful enough!<\/p>\n

I’m saddened by what I see in the Christian world as “Christians” verbalize their fears in the public forums as if a man will be our solution. \u00a0Why do we trust in man? \u00a0Even David wrote of the foolishness of trusting in the strength of men.<\/p>\n

Like Daniel, I’m so glad there is a sovereign and he does not rule from Washington or any other city. \u00a0He rules from heaven!<\/p>\n

One of the worst kings of all time said this about that God, words that came after God humbled him,<\/p>\n

King Nebuchadnezzar,<\/em><\/p>\n

To the nations and peoples of every language,\u00a0who live in all the earth:<\/em><\/p>\n

May you prosper greatly!<\/em><\/p>\n

It is my pleasure to tell you about the miraculous signs\u00a0and wonders that the Most High God\u00a0has performed for me.<\/em><\/p>\n

How great are his signs,
\nhow mighty his wonders!
\nHis kingdom is an eternal kingdom;
\nhis dominion endures\u00a0from generation to generation.<\/em><\/p>\n

“The Most High God”<\/p>\n

There is a ruler over the affairs of man.<\/p>\n

Oh that we would trust him and rest in his care.<\/p>\n

He is in charge of everything, even who rules this little nation of ours.<\/p>\n
