There is a lot of debate about why violence has increased in our country, why school shootings are now so common.\u00a0 The debate on one side blames guns and on the other it blames a culture awash with violence.<\/p>\n
But there is a clear cause that most do not want to acknowledge and a real reason for the increased violence.<\/p>\n
This insight into the real cause is sprinkled throughout the Bible and clearly spoken of in numerous places, but our culture never bothers to consult the owners manual to find out what is really happening.\u00a0 If they did they would deny the solution God gives.<\/p>\n
So, as a result, this kind of violence will continue and increase.\u00a0 Whether guns or knives, bats or rocks it will go on because we refuse to acknowledge and address the real cause.<\/p>\n
Here it is. Hidden in plain site.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere is no faithfulness, no love,<\/p>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0no acknowledgment of God in the land.<\/p>\n
There is only cursing, lying and murder,<\/p>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0stealing and adultery;<\/p>\n
they break all bounds,<\/p>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0and bloodshed follows bloodshed.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong><\/b>Because of this the land dries up,<\/p>\n \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0and all who live in it waste away\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n Hosea 4<\/p>\n Because we have turned our backs on God this is our outcome, this is our result.\u00a0 This is what life looks like without God.\u00a0 No matter what solutions we legislate the problems will only get worse.<\/p>\n It will not stop until we turn once more and bow to the God who made us.<\/p>\n What we are seeing now is a culture without God.<\/p>\n That’s the real problem.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
